ORIFLAME The One Long Wear Nail Polish Review and Swatches : PART I

Hope you all are good... Today, I  am back with another review on Nail Paints by Oriflame. I recently purchased few nail paints from Oriflame, when it launched the black colour in its THE ONE range... I ordered 5 different shades for trial... n Now I am totally flattened with the quality, packaging, pigmentation, staying power, etc. FOR ME.. it is the  BEST nail paint I have ever tried... (I have Never used O.P.I nail paint).

Nail paints, for me, was never a matter of quality concern.. I always thought that it's something which is not meant for skin or will never entering our body.. so we can buy those 'RS. 20' nail paints available on local stalls in market. BUT my thoughts are totally different.. n the story behind it is:

Few months back, I had a family function to attend, but on the event day, I had loads of other work to do.. so I applied the nail paint a day in advance... N on the event day, I noticed that 10-15% of the nail paint was SCRATCHED out.. :( that was very annoying for me:(  ... Few days after the event I applied a nail polish by oriflame(but not from THE ONE range).. it was gifted to me by my consultant. A week after applying that nail paint, I noticed that this didn't scratched out... only the area where my new length has come was paintless.. rest all was in place.. FROM THAT VERY MOMENT, I started to keep an eye on nail paint offer by oriflame.. n soon they came up with a offer on this range.. n I ordered 5 colours for trial...

LET'S BEGIN WITH REVIEW

• The quality of the product really mesmerised me. I was flattened from the very 1st coat of its application.
• The texture (of 2 coats), after drying, gives the look of a gel nail paint, which is applied at the time of nail extension.
• The days when I have long nails, n I apply this nail paint.. I always get questions from my students or friends, that 'Is this a nail paint u have applied.. or You have got NAIL EXTENSION DONE?'... At that moment, I feel so glad to have it.
• These Nail paints claim to stay for 7 Days on your nails.. But in my case they last for 12-15 Days.(If growth is to be ignored)
• The brush attached to it cap isn't like a regular cylindrical brush... rather its flattened... Also its bigger in size n width as well... it covers about 75-80% of my index finger in 1 swipe..
• Only One thing, which I don't like about it is.... it SMELL... too srong.. though.. it vanishes on drying.
• All the Swatches are, given below, are of 2 coats.

Every nail polish lover(or its better to say every female..) should try it at least once in their lifetime.

Blue Heaven Lip Bomb - Strawberry Review ; EOS DUPE IN INDIA

Hey beauties..
I am back with a review on a very nice (n affordable) lip balms in India. Actually, these balms, totally, tries to imitate the EOS lip balms. Is is a successful dupe??? We will see in the later part of the blog. Let's begin:

I got to know about this balm from nykaa.com . I was excited to try my hands on, from the moment I saw this. But, I was waiting for my brother, to come back from U.S, as he was supposed to bring the original EOS. After trying and testing EOS, I ordered this product.
It comes in 3 varients; A. Cocoa butter, B. Strawberry n C. Bubble Gum. Since I had strawberry EOS lip balm, so I ordered the strawberry lip bomb only. N the review for this is:

MRP: Rs.85 (I got for Rs.75 on Offer)

Ingredients: (Nothing specified on the package.. seen from its site)

Shea Butter, Canola Oil, Bees Wax, Hydrogenated castor oil, Almond Oil, Vitamin E and fragrance .

Impression of product, from PACKAGING:

• This was the packaging, in which I got the product. Not attractive at all; worse part is still to come.... 
• When I removed the "Blue Heaven" tagged tape N plastic, I never wanted to Open n see the product. The plastic quality of the egg shell is very cheap. It irritated me even more because I have used EOS before it. Where EOS have smooth, matte, rubber coated plastic it had a very thin plastic material of a cheap quality....
•  BuT then I convinced myself that, packing quality at the rate it's offering is quite justified. Then, I opened the packing.

Impression of PRODUCT:

• After opening up the cap; my views started changing about the balm.. It had a mild strawberry fragrance. Appearance of the balm was not matte (as EOS), it had a shine like normal lip balms have.  
• The texture of the balm on lips wasn't matte as EOS but wasn't bad too... so my first impression on it was quite..ok
• After 2-3 hours of application my views on this product totally changed...Now For me, it is a good product... worth buying
• I think it can be taken into the counting of Top 5 Lip balms available in India. Infact, this product, atleast for me, is better than Maybelline Baby Lips.
• It moisturize the lips quite well. Also, doesn't make them chapped, as Baby Lips(pink) does to my lips.
• It stays on lips for 3-4 hours, without meals.

So, my Final verdict on this lip bomb is; Its a good product, worth trying. Don't go on its packaging, or the product it is trying to imitate. As an individual lip balm, its a veryyyy goood product. Specially at the rate at which its coming.

Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner - Black  

MRP = RS.499 Offer Price = 375

I like this so much that that I don't think that my love for this baby will end. This small l'il pot is so cheap(as compared to other liners or kajal of this quality) and long lasting (both on eyes as well as on life basis). It takes me an year or 1.5 years to finish of 1 pot of this. This is my 5th pot in last 7 years.. n still love this like anything.

I got 3 shades for trial.

1. Red Carpet .... code...604 

Its a pretty glittery red with pink undertones. It is opaque and one coat is enugh.

Its a glittery rose gold paint with l'il silver glitters in it :( ... It needs minimum 2 coats for opacity.

Tuesday's Tip: Makeup Remover HIDDEN in our home.

Hey beauties..

I welcome you all to my new section 'Tuesday's Tip'. In this section, I will try to post a beauty tip every tuesday. Hope you all will enjoy it.

Today's tip is about finding a natural and easily available makeup remover, in place of those which are full of chemicals. Let's begin:

Being a makeup lover, I always have a huge shopping list of cosmetics in phone n in order to buy those products, I never get a chance to buy a makeup remover. Also almost all the makeup, I purchasr, has a good staying power.... (simply because I don't want my makeup to fade away easily). Because of the above issues I used to face a great difficulty in removing my makeup. Recently, I saw a video by Debashree on youtube, where she mentioned about the HERO of this Post. AND that hero is; THE COCONUT OIL.

YOU can Use any Coconut Oil of your choice:)

Instead of using any chemical based makeup remover; its good to use coconut oil. This in return will give Three BENEFITS:

• Protects any Chemical harming our eyes.(as most of our makeup removing efforts are on eyes. Also, they are the most delicate part of our face..so must handles with care. Also, people with sensitive skin may get allergic to chemical based remover.
• Soothes like a good moisturizing agent.
• Saves a good amount of money... used in buying a good quality makeup remover.

What do we Need?

• Coconut Oil
• Facewash

How to USE?(How I use it):

• Firstly, Wash your face with any Face Wash that suits your skin.
• Secondly, take a tablespoon of coconut oil on your palm and rub it carefully on the palm. (PS: please apply carefully, so that it doesn't spill on your clothes.) Give a nice massage to your face for 5 minutes, in upward direction.
• Finally, wash your face with your favorite facewash till the oil is completely removed from your face. 

* People with oily skin: Please wash off the oil as soon as possible and COMPLETELY.

* Also, if even after a party, your makeup is fresh, then you may need to follow the complete process twice.

A DEMO on my hand:

1.  I swatched some of my long stay makeup products on my hand. They are:

 - Lakme Absolute Lip Pout - Scarlet Red

-Maybelline Volum Express Hyper Curl Mascara - Waterproof

2. Once my makeup was all dried up, I washed my hands with my hand wash(you can use soap too).

3. From soap wash the makeup didn't move. (Except lip pout, lumi touch concealer and loreal kajal). Everything was in place... :)

4.  Then I took a teaspoon of coconut oil in my palm and rubbed it on the swatches gently. It stared melting easily. But, since my swatches were Fresh, I needed to follow the complete procedure twice.

U.S. Lip Balm Haul, mini Review and Swatches

Hi all.. 

 It's the very 1st blog of mine.. it ought be special. So I decided to review the lip care range, which was recently gifted to me. My brother went to U.S. n got few lippie for me ( coz everyone in my family Know that I have Passion for Fashion).

He got the EOS, few CHAPSTICKs n a Neutrogena lip moisture.

Ever Since I have heard about EOS, I have always been curious to try it.. but never got a chance to try it. But, now as I own them, I feel a great level satisfaction deep inside me.

●These cute l'il egg shaped balms feels like a  moist matte kinda texture on lips.

● The flavour I have is... strawberry sorbet, n it's fragrance remind me, my childhood's favourite chewing gum "Boomer".. It just simply send me to the memories of those golden dayz.

● It stays on lips for around 4 hours(with meals) and 6 hours(without meals).

● The  best part of the product (what company says) is that it 100%natural... Which is a YAy point for lip balm lovers.

● A NAy part in this product is that it doesn't have SPF.. so I need to apply sunscreen below this :(

● These sticks are like hidden bomb of goodness... They are so moisturising, that the skin starts feeling great immediately after application. 

● I got them in 4 variants..Pumpkin Pie

                                        ..Classic Cherry

                                        ..Classic Strawberry

● At present I have just opened the Pumpkin Pie only (I always try to get over with the worst thing 1st). Also, I  wasn't aware about the quality of the product that much. I guess I have heard its name once or twice only..(But since it was a gift from bro.. it had to try it before rejecting the lot).. n yeah.. this stick did wonders.. This baby should be given more attention that what it actually got.                           PS.. Pumpkin pie's smell can't be ignored(yukk)

● Its texture is not as matte as eos BUT it can be counted in list of moist matte balms only..

● When comes to staying power it stays longer than eos..around 6-8 hours.. Infact today when I applied it, I had to immediately brush my teeth n wash my face(due to some reasons).. but the balm was still there.. n made me its huge fan.

● They have SPF 4 in them.

● The NAY points for it are... They Aren't natural.



                      #Neutrogena Moistureshine Lip Soother

● The most expensive in the lot.. n the least favourite too:(

● It has SPF 20 in it. So its going to protect the lips well.. from sun damage.

● It has a fine liquidy texture but has fine glitters too.. which irritates me..(I am a not glitter person n I want my cosmetics to be matte n have long stay).

● It stays for around 4 hours on lips.

● It tastes like a sweet candy. Also, the taste stays on lips as long as this balm stays.

● Its not Natural.

● Moisturise the lips like a normal balm... but nothing great or standing out in it.
